d.Mistify Adult occlusal mirror 

The largest of the d.Mistify mirror family is the most commonly used to capture images in the mouth. The mirror is used in conjunction with the d.Mistify ALD unit and is fitted by sliding the base of the mirror into the backing plate of the device.

This mirror has been designed for most patients to be able to capture all of the top or bottom teeth, palate and tongue. It’s length generally allows for all teeth to be captured in one image, including the wisdom teeth. The mirror features a centreline and 3 curved lines to make it easy to position correctly. The mirror should be positioned with the side with these markings on the top, adjacent to the LED display.

d.Mistify Child occlusal mirror 

This is the smaller of the d.Mistify occlusal mirror family, measuring 65mm in its widest diameter and utilised in smaller adults and adolescents where mouth opening is limited. The mirror is used in conjunction with the d.Mistify ALD unit and is affixed by sliding the base of the mirror into the backing slot of the device.

This mirror has been designed for patients to capture all of the occlusal surfaces of the teeth and palatal area in the maxilla  and teeth and top of the tongue in the mandible. It’s length generally allows for all teeth to be captured in one image, including the wisdom teeth. The width can also accommodate most arch forms. The mirror features a centreline for orientation purposes and 3 radial arcs to provide easy depictions of arch form discrepancy. 

d.Mistify Y-Shaped occlusal mirror 

This patented mirror has been exquisitely engineered, measuring 62mm in its widest diameter and is utilised in patients who find any contact of the larger mirrors on their palate or their tongue to be an issue. The mirror is used in conjunction with the d.Mistify ALD unit and is affixed by sliding the base of the mirror into the backing slot of the device.

This mirror has been designed for patients to capture all of the occlusal surfaces of the  teeth in the maxilla and teeth in the mandible. It’s length generally allows for all teeth to be captured in one image, including the wisdom teeth. The width can also accommodate most arch forms.

d.Mistify Straight Mirror

The Straight Mirror is the larger of the straight mirrors and is very much of multi-purpose use, easily capturing images anywhere in the mouth. The mirror is used in conjunction with the d.Mistify ALD unit and is attached by sliding the base of the mirror into the backing slot of the device.

This mirror is often called used to focus on areas of concern that may have been depicted by the occlusal mirrors. The Straight mirror is marked on one side by which can be used as a measure.

d.Mistify Site Specific Mirror

The Site Specific Mirror is the smallest of all of the d.Mistify mirrors and is used to capture high resolution images of areas of concern or particular interest as its tiny size allows easy access all over the mouth. The mirror is used in conjunction with the d.Mistify ALD unit and is attached by sliding the base of the mirror into the backing slot of the device. The mirror is also ideal to capture how the patient bites together and is also well suited for use with children and those who gag easily.

Attaching the mirrors to ADL d.Misitfy device

The underside of the d.Mistify device has a docking station specifically for attaching a mirror. Any of the 5 specific mirror shapes can be deployed for use by sliding down the narrower handle part of the mirror into the docking assembly.
